As Hurricane Irma’s forecasted track continues to shift closer to the Boca Raton area, the Airport is now under a Hurricane Watch.  Tropical storm force winds are expected to arrive overnight Friday and into Saturday morning, with hurricane force winds possible by Sunday morning.  It is recommended that all aircraft be relocated or secured by Friday afternoon.

To assist with the evacuation of aircraft, all construction activities have been canceled for Thursday night and Friday morning, and the airport will remain open.

The Air Traffic Control Tower will close Friday at 5:00 p.m. local time.  The airport will remain open but unattended until 11:00 pm.  Conditions will not be reported and pilots should exercise caution.

Please check NOTAMs for the latest closure and airport condition information.  If you have any questions, please contact Airport Operations at 561-391-2202
