Boca Raton Airport Honors All Who Have Served

On this Memorial Day, we at the Boca Raton Airport Authority commemorate the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives for this country. As a former World War II Army Airfield, we are proud of the rich history of the Airport and of the servicemen who have served our great nation. We are forever indebted to these courageous individuals.

It is because of them that we are still afforded the unalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Their gallant service and heroic actions are why we are able to enjoy the immense freedoms and unprecedented opportunities that we do.

On Memorial Day, and every day that follows, we show our gratitude to everyone who has given their life in service of the United States of America.

The City of Boca Raton will be hosting a virtual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 25th at 9 am. More information on the Ceremony can be found here.

More information about the Boca Raton Airport and its rich history as a World War II Army Airfield can be found in the Airport’s commemorative 70th Anniversary book.
