Following temporary closures of the Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) and Fixed Based Operators (FBO) due to wind speeds brought by Hurricane Dorian, the Boca Raton Airport has resumed normal operations. This includes the Air Traffic Control Tower and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility.
While Boca Raton and the rest of South Florida remained relatively unscathed by the storm, the Bahamas were devastated by more than two days of record-setting winds, torrential rains and life-threatening storm surge from the Category 5 hurricane.
In support of the humanitarian efforts taking place in the Bahamas due to the impact of Hurricane Dorian, the Airport is suspending all customs clearing fees until Wednesday, September 18.
