Boca Raton Airport Authority Commemorates Seventh Year of Fostering Academic Excellence with $25,000 Endowment
Continuing a now seven-year tradition of supporting local college-bound students, the Boca Raton Airport Authority (BRAA) has announced its annual $25,000 contribution to the Boca Raton Airport Scholarship, administered by the George Snow Scholarship Fund. The decision, which was approved at the BRAA board meeting on September 20th, aims to underpin the educational pursuits of Palm Beach County students seeking to make their mark in the aviation and aerospace industry.
An Investment in Budding Aviation Professionals
The Boca Raton Airport Authority, honored with the George Snow Scholarship Fund Corporate Community Service Award earlier this year, has been a longtime advocate for the next wave of local leaders in their community and industry.
“The next generation of aviators and aerospace professionals starts with these students,” said Clara Bennett, BRAA Executive Director. “We’re proud to be part of their journey toward a career in this growing industry.”
Beyond its seven years of funding the Boca Raton Airport Scholarship, the BRAA supports local education through a range of activities that include collaborations with high school aviation programs and paid internships offered to college juniors and seniors. This latest $25,000 contribution is yet another example of strategic community initiatives that seek to invest in the intellectual capital of the region.
